Understanding Yourself
Starts With the
Right Question.

A psychological assessment isn’t just a diagnosis — it’s a complete picture of how your mind works, why certain things feel hard, and what would actually help. We’re here to help you find those answers, at any age.

Whether you’re a parent searching for answers for your child, a teenager navigating a world that wasn’t designed for you, or an adult finally asking the question you’ve been carrying for years — you’re in the right place.

Not all assessments result in a diagnosis — our goal is an honest, evidence-based clinical answer. All assessments are led by Registered Psychologists (C.Psych., Ontario), follow DSM-5-TR diagnostic standards, and use validated tools normed for Canadian populations. Findings are documented in a written report and reviewed with you in a dedicated feedback session.

Who We See

We Meet People Where They Are

Assessment is not one-size-fits-all. The questions change at every stage of life — so our approach does too.

Young Children (Ages 6–10)

Early clarity helps families, schools, and children themselves understand what’s underneath the behaviour — before the gap between effort and results widens.

School Age & Tweens (Ages 8–13)

When homework takes three times as long as it should, and teachers and parents are seeing two different children. Assessments here change academic trajectories.

Teenagers (Ages 13–17)

Brilliant, overwhelmed, and increasingly withdrawn. Teens aged 12+ receive their own private feedback session — not just a report written for a school file.

Adults (18+)

The coping strategies that worked in your twenties may be breaking down. Many adults were never assessed as children — and the answers change everything.

Why Toriven™

Differential Diagnosis.
Not Just a Checklist.

We don’t just look for ADHD. We look for what might be mimicking it, co-occurring with it, or being masked by it. Every assessment is led by a Registered Psychologist using validated tools and a thorough clinical history.

Validated Clinical Tools

CPT-3, ADOS-2, WISC-V, WIAT-4, BASC-3, and more — internationally recognised, normed for Canadian populations.

Virtual-First, Ontario-Wide

No travel, no waitlist geography. We see clients where their challenges actually occur — at home, in their real environment.

School & Physician-Ready Reports

Structured for direct use by educators, pediatricians, and workplaces. Plain language, actionable recommendations.

Strengths-Based & Neurodiversity-Affirming

We document what’s working alongside what’s challenging. Assessment is the beginning of understanding — not a verdict.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

No referral is needed. You can contact us directly through our website, and we’ll start with a free 20-minute Guidance Call to understand your situation and recommend the right path.
Assessments are private pay and not covered by OHIP. Many extended health benefit plans cover psychological and psychoeducational assessments in full or in part — we recommend confirming with your insurer before booking. Detailed receipts are always provided for reimbursement. Clients are responsible for confirming their own coverage.
From your first contact to receiving your report, most assessments take 3–6 weeks. This includes the intake session, testing sessions, report preparation, and feedback appointment. Neuropsychological battery assessments may take longer given the clinical scope involved.
Not all assessments result in a diagnosis — our goal is an honest, evidence-based clinical answer. If a diagnosis applies, it will be documented clearly. If it doesn’t, we’ll explain what we found and what the right next steps are. You will always receive a written report and a dedicated feedback session regardless of outcome.
Our assessments are delivered virtually through secure, PHIPA-compliant video platforms. Most standardized tools are fully validated for virtual administration. In rare cases where an in-person component is clinically indicated, we’ll discuss that with you. Virtual delivery means we observe clients in the environment where challenges actually occur — at home — which often provides richer clinical information than a clinic setting.
That’s exactly what our free Guidance Call is for. Most families aren’t sure which pathway applies before they call — and that’s completely normal. Our clinicians will listen to what you’re seeing, ask a few clarifying questions, and give you an honest recommendation. There’s no obligation and no charge for the Guidance Call.
Payment plans are available on assessments over $3,000 through independent third-party lenders. Plans are subject to lender approval and individual eligibility. Monthly estimates shown throughout our website are illustrative only — actual payments, interest rates, and fees are confirmed by the lender at application. Our intake team can walk you through the process after your Guidance Call.
All-inclusive pricing covers: clinical intake session, all assessment tools and standardized measures, clinician scoring and clinical formulation time, a written plain-language report, and a feedback session to walk through every finding with you. There are no hidden fees. Detailed receipts are provided after each session for extended health benefit reimbursement.

Not Sure Where to Start?

That’s completely normal — most families and individuals who reach out aren’t sure either. Our free 20-minute Guidance Call is a genuine conversation, not a sales call. We’ll listen, answer your questions, and tell you honestly what we think the right path is — even if that path isn’t with us.
