Accessibility & AODA Statement

Toriven™ is committed to providing an accessible digital experience for all users, including persons with disabilities, in accordance with Ontario's accessibility standards.

Our Commitment

Toriven™ (Toriven Health Inc.) is committed to ensuring equal access to our website and digital services for all individuals, including persons with disabilities. We are working to meet and maintain compliance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA) and the Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation (IASR) under Ontario Regulation 191/11. We are committed to identifying, removing, and preventing accessibility barriers in a timely manner.

We are committed to meeting Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 Level AA requirements, as required under the IASR for information and communications standards. We are additionally building toward WCAG 2.1 Level AA as best practice beyond the legal minimum.

Toriven™ is a pre-launch organization. Our website is currently in development. We are building with accessibility as a design requirement, not an afterthought, and will conduct a formal accessibility audit prior to clinical launch.

Applicable Standards

This website is being developed with reference to the following standards and legislation:

  • Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA)
  • Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation (O. Reg. 191/11) — Information and Communications Standards, Customer Service Standards
  • Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0, Level AA — published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C)
  • Ontario Human Rights Code — with respect to equal treatment in services

Current Status

Toriven™ has not yet launched clinical services. Our website is currently in its pre-launch informational phase. An internal accessibility review was completed in April 2026. The following accessibility features have been implemented across all pages:

  • Semantic HTML structure with appropriate heading hierarchy (single H1 per page, logical H2–H4 structure)
  • Colour contrast ratios meeting WCAG 2.1 Level AA across all pages — accessible green (#006B44, 6.59:1 on white) used for all text and interactive elements; body text at minimum 5.74:1; headings at 17.39:1
  • Descriptive link text that is meaningful out of context
  • No images present on site — alt text requirement not currently applicable
  • Keyboard navigability for all interactive elements including navigation, buttons, and forms
  • Skip navigation links present on all pages
  • Focus-visible indicators implemented via CSS for all interactive elements
  • No content that relies solely on colour to convey meaning — icons and labels used alongside all colour signals
  • Consistent navigation structure across all pages
  • Reduced motion media query implemented — animations suppressed for users with prefers-reduced-motion enabled
  • ARIA landmarks, roles, and live regions implemented across all pages
  • Cookie consent banner implemented with ARIA dialog role, 44px touch targets, and keyboard accessibility
  • Screen reader utility class (sr-only) applied to visually hidden content throughout

Outstanding items for verification prior to launch: Resize text behaviour at 200% zoom; text spacing overrides (line height 1.5x, letter spacing 0.12em); contact form error state announcements; reflow at 320px viewport width. These will be confirmed by our development team prior to clinical launch.

Known Limitations

As a pre-launch website under active development, some pages may not yet fully meet WCAG 2.0 Level AA. We are committed to identifying and resolving these gaps before and after our clinical launch. A formal third-party accessibility audit is planned prior to opening.

Third-Party Tools and Content

Toriven™ uses third-party tools and platforms to support our services, including secure communication and client portal systems. Some third-party tools may have their own accessibility limitations outside of our direct control. We will work with our vendors to improve accessibility where possible and will not use tools that create unnecessary barriers for clients with disabilities.

Multi-Year Accessibility Plan

In accordance with the IASR, Toriven™ is committed to developing and maintaining a multi-year accessibility plan. Our multi-year accessibility plan is available upon request — please contact us using the details in the Feedback and Contact section below. Our current commitments include:

  • Pre-launch (2026): Internal accessibility review of all patient-facing web pages against WCAG 2.0 AA criteria
  • At launch (2026): Publish updated accessibility statement with formal audit results; ensure all new content published after launch meets WCAG 2.0 AA
  • Post-launch (ongoing): Annual review of website accessibility; address reported barriers within a reasonable timeframe; train staff on accessible content creation; ensure all staff receive accessibility training in accordance with IASR requirements
