If you’re eligible, a slot was available when your acceptance was confirmed, and we’re unable to offer an intake appointment within 14 days due to our own scheduling constraints:

If we miss the 14‑day window, we credit the cost of your first session — up to $250, no matter which service you booked.

The credit equals what your first session actually costs, capped at $250. If your session costs less, the credit matches that lower amount.

When does the clock start?

The 14-day period begins only after Toriven™ confirms that you’ve been accepted and you’ve received your confirmation email — once your intake submission, payment, and any required documentation have been verified.

Limited slots — first come, first served

The promise applies only to a defined monthly allocation by service type, filled first-come, first-served by the time all eligibility conditions are met. Once the month’s slots are filled, the promise no longer applies for that service until the following month — you can still book, just without the 14-day commitment. Joining the waitlist early helps secure your place in line.

About this commitment

The 14-Day Intake Promise is an operational commitment related to access and scheduling. It does not influence clinical care. All clinical services are provided independently by regulated professionals in accordance with their professional and ethical standards, including those of the College of Psychologists of Ontario, the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers, and the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario. Clinical judgment, session structure, assessment processes, and treatment planning are determined solely by the treating clinician.

The 14-day period is calculated on a calendar-day basis and begins only after Toriven™ confirms acceptance and the client receives the confirmation email, with all eligibility conditions satisfied. The commitment may be suspended or may no longer apply where the client is unresponsive, delays scheduling, declines reasonable appointment options, or where additional information is required. The promise applies subject to defined monthly capacity by service type; once capacity is reached, it no longer applies to additional clients for that service that month. Any service credit or refund relates only to the timing of the initial intake appointment, applies to the first session regardless of service type, and is limited to the actual cost of that first session up to a maximum of $250. Where the first-session fee is less than $250, the credit or refund equals that lower fee. The credit represents a reasonable estimate of service impact, not a penalty.

Toriven™ reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue this policy at any time, without prior notice. Any change applies to clients accepted after the change takes effect.
